GeekRevu respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA“) and other applicable laws, we have implemented the following policy to address claims of copyright infringement:

Reporting Copyright Infringement:

If you believe that any content on GeekRevu’s website (www.geekrevu.com) infringes your copyright, please provide us with a written notice that includes the following information:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
  • Identification of the allegedly infringing material, including specific URLs or other information to enable us to locate the material.
  • Sufficient contact information for us to reach you, including your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information provided in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Counter-Notification:

If you believe that the material you posted on GeekRevu’s website was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with our Copyright Agent. The counter-notification must include the following information:

  • Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and its location on the website.
  • Sufficient contact information for us to reach you, including your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the Northern District of California, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original copyright infringement notification or an agent of that person.
  • Your electronic or physical signature.

Please note that under the DMCA, any person who knowingly misrepresents that material or activity is infringing or was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification may be subject to liability for damages, including legal fees.

  1. Repeat Infringers:

GeekRevu reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of copyright.
